As a coach, I see new internet marketers so excited to grow their online business to give value to a global audience while they focus on “getting out of debt.”

If you focus on debt (even getting out of it) I can assure you of two things:

  1. You will grow more debt
  2. People will be repelled by the energy you build your website with

What to focus on instead?

  1. Being of service in your niche to as many people as fit your ideal audience profile
  2. Coming up with ways to add more value to peoples’ lives every day
  3. Providing programs and products that help people

You’ve likely driven a vehicle and all of a sudden something is there that you didn’t see because it was in your blind spot.

  1. Maybe you changed lanes and almost hit someone you didn’t know was there.
  2. Maybe you were backing out and nearly hit a child or another vehicle.

Do you have blind spot mirrors on your vehicle, like I do, to keep you from making BIG mistakes due to lack of vision?

In life, relationships and business, we all have blind spots. One major responsibility of a coach is to point out your blind spots so that you can be aware and avoid getting “blind sided.”

Everybody Needs A Coach

CoachingAs a coach, I know I get the honor and privilege of seeing people’s “blind spots” and that is one of the most important reasons that Everybody Needs A Coach!

Alex Mandossian taught me that no one succeeds alone. There are always people who support, love, challenge and assist us in getting where we want to be in life and in business.

Every coach I know has one or more coaches for different areas of their life and business.

Just this morning, my coach asked me a powerful 3-word question that completely explained why I was stuck and jolted me (in a good way) back into passion and enthusiasm for a project that had seemed to lose all of it’s glimmer and shine.

Win Or Learn

We have been programmed to win or lose but Win Or Learn is a lot more fun and this is what I coach players to move toward in their verbiage and perspective!

I’ve never liked losing, have you? Would you rather Win Or Learn than win or lose?

Win or Learn | Kelly RudolphMy last blog post was about how we have been programmed to “work” at everything, even things like personal relationships that shouldn’t have anything to do with work. Now, let’s take a look at how to put “losing” in that same trash can as the word “work” because this negative language will prevent us from being as successful as we can be.

Winning isn’t everything but winning or learning certainly is!

Success depends on how you respond to failure. Failure just means you didn’t reach the milestone you were reaching for. However, I have never heard of someone who didn’t learn SOMEthing from what happened in their life and if they say they didn’t, they are not paying attention!

Win or learn is the perfect way to reframe whatever it is you want to do. It’s a win-win situation and will always move you toward knowing yourself better and winning your game on your own terms!

We hear a lot of talk about willpower being vital in reaching your goals with business but how often have you heard that your environments have everything to do with whether or not you can win at business?

Coaching With Humor Creates Momentum

Coaching with humor is important because humor creates momentum, lightens the mood and reduces stress, which is frustration, anger and sadness about a dismal future. This means that when you are stressed, you are not seeing your future working out the way you’d like.

By laughing, you immediately change your body chemistry and your energy to be more positive and supportive. When you are laughing with your coach or your coaching teammates, the energy and positive benefits are magnified!

Humor Creates Momentum

It’s easy to get off-track as life rarely stands still while you work on your new game-plan with your coach. Momentum makes sticking with it much easier and can come in the form of a small success (like tweeting your new blog post), or watching a totally unrelated, funny video like the one below:
